Tepa Defective Parts

The value of collaboration between RMI associations was once again highlighted this month with the culmination of two years of discussions between the TEPA NEC and the MIWA NEC. The requirement was to bring about a change to the industry which would see the Component Parts Industry providing the workshops with a recovery for labour costs incurred during the replacement of a defective part.

TEPA undertook to investigate the options in order to secure an insurance type cover for the costs of labour in the replacement of defective parts.

As from 01 May 2021 TEPA is pleased to announce the launch of the “DEFECTIVE PARTS LABOUR INSURANCE COVER.” This is based on a minimum of 450 members. The ramp up period is between now and 1 September with the effective date as from 1 September 2021.

The cost of the policy is carried by the TEPA Component Parts Dealer (Spares Shop).
