The re-establishment of SETAs

Minister of Higher Education and Training Binginkosi Emmanuel Nzìmande has, after the public consultation process, under section 9(1) of the Skills Development Act (Act No. 97 of 1998), re-established the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) within a new SETA landscape as indicated in Schedule 1 from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2030.
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) has been re-established for a period of two years from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2022 with the jurisdiction as indicated in Schedule 2.
